Partners in Possibility: The Skoll Foundation’s Work with Social Entrepreneurs

This was the title of the USC Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy’s Distinguished Speakers Series presenation today given by Sally Osberg. www.usc.edu/philanthropy Sally is the President and CEO of the Skoll Foundation.  The title, “Partners in Possibility,” in my opinion understates the power of what Skoll has accomplished over their 10 years.  They seek and support the best social entrepreneurs.  People who have a mission to do good and in most instances are creating economic opportunity that is sustainable.  Sally has been there with Jeff Skoll from the beginning.  They have put together an amazing team including my friend, Ben Binswanger, who leads their program and impact work.  “Social entrepreneurs are society’s change agents, creators of innovations that disrupt the status quo and transform our world for the better. By identifying the people and programs already bringing positive change around the world, we empower them to extend their reach, deepen their impact and fundamentally improve society.”  I encourage you to visit their website and read some of the success stories of the entrepreneurs they have supported.  http://www.skollfoundation.org/message-from-sally-osberg
