CNCS Community Dialog

The Corporation for National and Community Service is traveling the country getting input to help inform their new 5 year strategic plan.  I attended the Los Angeles session which was held at the Red Cross and hosted a cross section of organizations that either house AmeriCorps members or utilize their services.  The information gathered will be combined with that from the other sessions and presented to the CNCS board in September.  The board, working with CNCS CEO Patrick Corvington, will then commence the process of defining national service for the coming years within the framework of the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act.  www.nationalservice.gov
